One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Jesus is not only dependable, He is predictable in that what He did, He does. It was interesting that He could do precious little in Nazareth. The people there had lowered their expectations to what was familiar to them. It was as if they were saying, "We can’t move past what we know of Him." They carried the attitude that “what we are familiar with certainly cannot and must not be true.” They lowered their expectations to what they thought they knew.

I find that we often do the same thing. We lower the standard of the Bible to the level of our experience, to what we think we know. It's as if we are saying, “That can’t be true because it doesn’t meet the level of my experience.”

I am hungry to see my levels of experience with God move up higher—to believe that He is who the Bible says He is and that He can do what the Bible says He can do. I will not lower the standard of the Bible to my level of experience.

Let’s get hungry for more of God, my friends.

Join us for "Stitched Up." While sins are forgiven, wounds often remain. In this series of talks, we will learn how the Lord desires to stitch up our wounds.

Equip 2024 But the church prayed

Equip 2024 - "But the Church Prayed"

Get a Head Start:

One of the seminars this year is "Destined for the Throne'" based on the book by the same name written by Paul Billhiemer. It would be helpful to have read the book prior to taking the class. Pastor Paul says, "Destined for the Throne" is one of the most influential books in his life.

If you want to get a head start on Equip, we have loaner books at the Information Table in the foyer. Leave your name to check it out, read it, and bring it back no later than one month.

“One Miracle at a Time”

The testimony is unfolding.

Grace purchased the Cemetery Creek Property, acquiring 5.5 acres of the 9.5, initially based on three contingencies:

  • Congregational approval

  • Core samples suitable for building

  • City approval for zoning

God miraculously provided the additional 4 acres through vision and generosity:

  • A fun-filled Mexican Fiesta dinner auction raised $27,000.

  • Gold and coins were donated.

  • A $400,000 Matching Grant was fulfilled, doubling to $800,000.

  • The Strengthen Our Hands to Build Campaign has steadily grown, culminating in $3.1 million to launch construction, with each small miracle adding up.

  • Another matching grant of $48,000, matched weekly, will reach $96,000.

Currently, the Building Task Team is finalizing revised plans, with bids due in four weeks.

One sub-contractor has stepped forward that they want to help.

Little and big miracles, one at a time.

We have been told moving dirt could still happen in 2024! Stay tuned…..
