A Word for the Church
We are all aware that these are perilous days. The war in Israel and Ukraine, constant threats and a government so divided it can’t elect a speaker of the House.
Jesus warned in Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
It is in these kinds of days that the church can make a major mistake and that mistake is to begin looking and longing for the return of the Lord; instead, of longing and working toward breakthrough of the Great Commission. Hunger for heaven to the neglect of the Great Commission is not encouraged in Scripture. To be so locked in to wanting Jesus to come back NOW and “get us out of this mess” is to sentence many, many souls into a Christless eternity.
Instead of fearing the moment let us fear for those who do not know Jesus. Heaven is real and hell is not a myth. John 4:35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.
The Lord bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you!
