Grace Happenings | June 1, 2022

Pastors Pen

One day a dad heard a knock on his office door. “Come in,” he said.  Just then his young son entered.  “Yes son, what is it that you want?” the dad asked.   The boy responded, “I don’t want anything, I just want to be with you.”

Psalm 143:8,10 has some great instructions for discovering intimacy with God-given Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God.  May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing. These verses give us 3 steps for developing greater intimacy with God:

“Let me hear” – This is level 1.  Listening

“Show me the way” – This is level 2: Learning

“Teach me to do” – This is level 3: Loving

I challenge you to meditate on this passage and just hang out with God asking Him to help you hear, show you, and teach you.
