Grace Happenings | August 3, 2023

Pastor’s Pen

I have been refreshed recently through Psalm 91 (the second most read Psalm, after Psalm 23).  It starts out, Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

I have been asking the Lord, how can I better “dwell” in your presence.  The word “dwell” means to make “your house, your abode, to pitch your tent” of all that you are in God’s presence.  I believe that Gold is saying, “trust me in every detail of your life.”  To dwell means to focus your energy and mind on trusting and thanking God, being conscious of His presence.   I am not dwelling when I get nervous and take things into my own hands, but when I allow the presence and peace of God to settle over my heart.

Nothing is wasted when you walk close to the Lord.  Even our mistakes and sins can be recycled into something good through His transforming grace and presence.  How good it is to dwell in the presence of the Lord.

As we step toward the Tent of Meeting August 12 – 13 and 19-20, let’ expect the Lord to dwell and meet with us.

I am excited as Marietta Wright shares the Word with us this weekend.

This weekend– Bring a towel to church– you never know when you’ll need it.

Our next meeting is on August 21.

We would love to see you there.

Tent of Meeting

We will hold services on

Saturday, August 12-13

 Sunday, August 19-20

in the Big Tent on the new Grace property.

Tent of Meeting Logistics

  1. This Saturday morning, we need 4 strong guys to go to Sheridan to pick up the tent and poles. Once the tent is at the property we will start laying out where the tent will go.

  2. Also we could use someone who mow or weed eat around the gates of the property.

  3. This Sunday afternoon at 2 we need at least 30 people to help raise the tent.

  4. Saturday morning August 12, we need a team of people to move chairs from Grace to the tent site and help set up.

  5. All hands on deck to pray and ask God to meet with us in a power way at the tent of meeting.
