Grace Happenings

Bringing You the Latest Buzz from Grace Fellowship

Pastor’s Pen

Isaiah 61:10 says, I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of His righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

I remember getting ready for our wedding. A lot of planning, looking at pictures, buying rings, getting the right clothes (for me), and trying on dress after dress for her. I wanted everything to be just right – right down to my socks, to be ready to see her come down the aisle. She wanted to be beautiful for her groom.

I wonder what would happen in our relationship with the Lord if we were to see our relationship as a bride getting ready for the big day, that amazing moment. Making sure that we are fully ready for that moment when the Father of the Groom, Abba, says to Jesus, “Son, go get your Bride.”

I am pretty sure that our relationship with both Abba and Jesus would grow exponentially. Church, we are His Bride, He is coming for us! Let’s get ready!

Grace Fellowship is joining with New Life to bring this year's Community VBS. Mark your calendar for June 24-27. More details to come.
