Grace Happenings | April 21

Pastor’s Pen

I hear the expression “divine appointment” every once in a while.  The Bible uses a similar expression, “appointed time.”  Appointed time in the Bible is an open display of the sovereignty and power of God.  Psalm 102: 12-13 says, but you, Lord, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations.  You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.

There are a number of tools the devil uses against us we seldom attribute to him; one of those is a disappointment.  It is easy to be disappointed with people and with situations, which can fester ever further and grow into disappointment with God. Here’s what I want you to see, “dis-appointment” can pull you away from your appointed destiny.  Focusing on “dis-appointments” will cause you to miss out on God’s best in your life.

So here is the encouragement, do not let anything cause you to miss God’s appointed times where He displays His sovereignty and power.

Can’t wait to see you this coming weekend.
