VISION, MISSION, BELIEFS

OUR VISION: Equipping for Life The leadership at Grace Fellowship strives to fulfill the call of Ephesians 4:12 to equip the saints for the work of the ministry because every member of the Body of Christ is vital to advancing the Kingdom of God on earth. We engage people with dynamic worship and Biblical teaching meaningful for the days we live in, equip them with the knowledge of their spiritual gift areas and train them so they feel empowered to use their gifts. OUR MISSION: People Matter We value people. Each person matters here and will be extended grace, encouragement, and acceptance. A fulfilling life comes through a relationship with Jesus and others. Spiritual Growth Matters We are dedicated to teaching that inspires and worship that celebrates seeking to help each person grow in their relationship with Christ. Serving Matters We are committed to empower and equip followers of Jesus to be authentic servant-hearted believers in our community and around the world. OUR DOCTRINAL STATEMENT & BELIEFS: We believe the Bible in its original manuscripts to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5). We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19). We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1,14, 20:28; 1Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 2:9-12). We believe that the salvation of sinful man is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. When one repents of their sins and confesses Jesus Christ as the Lord of their lives, they experience a spiritual rebirth (born again) and a profound change occurs within a person’s heart and soul. This transformation results in becoming a new creation in Christ. (John 3:1-12; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16; Titus 3:5-6; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 9:22). We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling we, as Christians, are enabled to live a Godly life. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is the promise of the Father, given by Jesus after His Ascension, to empower the church to preach the Gospel throughout the whole earth (Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:5, 8; 2:1-4, 8:14-17, 19:1-6). We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and confirm the power of the Gospel. The Bible lists of these gifts are not necessarily exhaustive, and the gifts may occur in various combinations. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation of the gifts in their lives. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of Biblical parameters (Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11, 12 :4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; 1 Peter 4:10). We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus's great commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22, 4:16; John 17:11, 20-23). We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved; that the saved inherit eternal life. The unsaved (those that have chosen not to believe in God's free gift of His Son) are sent to eternal damnation because they have not believed.  (John 3:17; 2 Peter 3:9).

Walking in Fellowship

At Grace Fellowship, we choose not to use the term 'church membership,' as we prioritize walking together in unity and fellowship. The heart of Grace Fellowship regarding those walking in fellowship together is more akin to being joined as a family rather than a contractual membership in an organization. We believe it is the Father who calls us into one family, the family of God. Jesus, the Head of the Church, calls us individually into various local churches to play our part in the family. In Holy Spirit fellowship, together we set out to accomplish the mission God has given us as a local church. Our prayer for everyone walking in fellowship with Grace Fellowship is that we would be united on a mission with others who will witness God’s power to heal wounded hearts, restore relationships, and be equipped and released to fulfill the purpose to which God has called us. If you are new to Grace, we offer a one-hour informational class called 'Growing with Grace' periodically. This class provides an opportunity to learn more about our history, mission, purpose, and ways you can grow with Grace.
