ABOUT GRACE FELLOWSHIP

Some say, 'Grace Fellowship, it's the best-kept secret in Buffalo.' Not only does Grace Happen Here, but it's also an embracing family passionate about God, people, and applying God’s Word to our lives.

“Grace Fellowship is a group of common ordinary people who have experienced extraordinary grace from God, so we say with freedom Grace Happens Here! We are passionate about worship, about hearing and growing from the teaching of the Word, about building strong relationships, and making a difference in Buffalo and all around the world. We believe that God has brought and is assembling an amazing team of people with a wonderful anointing to do what we do in Jesus name and through His power.  We are so excited that you are joining us on this journey of grace and faith.”

– Pastor Paul Gilbert

 Vision & Mission

We Equip People For Action In Ministry

The mission of Grace Fellowship is for us to move from comfort to action to reach people for Christ so they can be discipled and equipped for ministry.

The leadership at GF strives to fulfill the call of Ephesians 4:12 to equip the saints for the work of the ministry because every member of the Body of Christ is vital to advancing the Kingdom of God on earth.

We engage people with dynamic worship and Biblical teaching meaningful for the days we live in, equip them with the knowledge of their spiritual gift areas and train them so they feel empowered to use their gifts.

Doctrinal Statement and Beliefs

We believe the Bible in its original manuscripts to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5).

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.      (I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19).

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1,14, 20:28; 1Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 2:9-12).

We believe that the salvation of sinful man is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. When one repents of their sins and confesses Jesus Christ as the Lord of their lives, they experience a spiritual rebirth (born again) and a profound change occurs within a person’s heart and soul. This transformation results in becoming a new creation in Christ. (John 3:1-12; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16; Titus 3:5-6; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 9:22).

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling we, as Christians, are enabled to live a Godly life. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is the promise of the Father, given by Jesus after His Ascension, to empower the church to preach the Gospel throughout the whole earth (Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:5, 8; 2:1-4, 8:14-17, 19:1-6).

We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and confirm the power of the Gospel. The Bible lists of these gifts are not necessarily exhaustive, and the gifts may occur in various combinations. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation of the gifts in their lives. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of Biblical parameters (Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11, 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; 1 Peter 4:10).

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus’s great commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22, 4:16; John 17:11, 20-23).

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved; that the saved inherit eternal life. The unsaved (those that have chosen not to believe in God’s free gift of His Son) are sent to eternal damnation because they have not believed.  (John 3:17; 2 Peter 3:9).

F.A.Q.

WHAT ARE GRACE FELLOWSHIP’S WORSHIP TIMES?

Grace worships at 108 N. Burritt Ave. on Saturday at 5:30pm, Sunday at 9:30am (livestreamed). We also gather seasonally for Family Night (meal and Bible teaching) on Wednesdays at 5:30pm between September to April. (Family Night is located at Bomber Mountain Civic Center, 63 N. Burritt Ave.)

HOW DO YOU CELEBRATE COMMUNION?

We practice an open communion at Grace Fellowship, so everyone is welcomed to participate.  Our only caution is that communion be approached with humility and prayer as the Bible teaches. We typically serve communion the first weekend of each month and do not serve it the same way each time, because receiving communion should be a reminder of God’s love, not a religious tradition.

WHO MAKES THE DECISIONS?

Our leadership team of Elders, along with the Pastor, serves to provide spiritual and fiscal guidance. This team makes the final decisions on most matters. Our elders are elected through a congregational vote from the membership.

WHAT IS YOUR WORSHIP LIKE?

We believe that worshipping God is the main event and one of the primary reasons we gather. We tend to be blended and upbeat in style with a few hymn but mostly we sing music that lifts our hearts to praise and worship God. We love worship that stirs the soul.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS?

Come as you are. Some ladies wear dresses, but most wear slacks or jeans. Seldom do any of the men wear ties, but either dress pants or comfortable jeans. We are too casual to worry about how anyone dresses.

IS THERE PRESSURE TO GIVE AN OFFERING?

We do not believe anyone should ever be coerced to give, so at Grace Fellowship we do not pass offering plates. Seldom is anything said about money. We simply have giving boxes on the wall near the exits of the Worship Center (our gathering place). God has been faithful to provide for us so Grace Fellowship is debt free through the generosity of our church family

DO I NEED TO BECOME A MEMBER?

In a nutshell, no! Once you begin to attend Grace Fellowship, we assume God brought you to us and consider Grace Fellowship as your church home.

CAN I RECEIVE PRAYER?

Absolutely, someone is available after each service to pray. Should you desire to give your heart to the Lord, someone is available to help and explain that.  If you would like someone to pray and agree with you about something let us know.
