2 Timothy 2:2  And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

I am sitting in a restaurant, eavesdropping.  Normally I try not to do that, but I heard one of the guys ask, “Where did we leave off?”  I glanced; they are working through John’s Gospel!  They are talking about what they got out of the reading this week.  Wow, iron sharpening iron.  Hmm, making me hungry (not for more food) but to again pour out to a newer believer out of what God has taught me and is teaching me!  My mind drifted to those times I poured out to Alan and I’ll never forget the day that Alan brought Bob to me and said, “This is your spiritual grandson!”  Wow, how very cool.  Teach others to teach others to teach others.  Both Alan and Bob felt the call of God in their lives and became pastors!  Here is the cool thing, every time I pour myself out to someone else in discipleship I have grown myself!  Lord, bring the next person into my life so that You can pour out and I can pour out!

We are called to make disciples….something the church, including Grace, must get better at. It must never be all about us and our needs. There is something powerful about committing our lives to something we won’t see in our lifetime but will know about when we get to heaven. Maybe this is a part of what Jesus meant when He talked about “laying up treasures in heaven “(Matthew 6:19-20).

Here is the discipleship cycle:

To teach others, to teach others, to teach others, to teach others……

Excited to see what God has in store for us this week…..excited to be one of the men working on the new property-what an amazing adventure we are on.

Father’s Day Weekend—June 18 & 19 (There will be  a special gift for all the men)

Serve the City– On Sunday, June 26, we will have an abbreviated service and then join Summit from 10 am to 12 for various service projects. So come dressed in work clothes and join this opportunity to build unity in the Body of Christ and serve Buffalo.  A list of projects will be available to sign up for next weekend.

Mexican Fiesta Dinner & Auction—September 9, 5:30-8:30 @ Bomber Mtn. Marietta Wright has donated 17 “Art from the Heart” drawings that will be auctioned. We will also be looking for other items of value: guns, antiques, times shares, etc. All proceeds will go to the Building Fund, More details will be forthcoming. God’s Provision

Over the following weeks, it will be awesome to see how God provides. Half a truckload of new products has been given to Grace to sell at a garage sale. Carol Herman is building teams to get ready for the garage sale which will be held from 9 AM to 2 PM on July 2. The week prior a team will ready things both from what has been donated and out of the GF building. On July 2 will be a team who serves at the sale and then a team of folks to help with clean-up.

All proceeds will go to the GF building fund
