Pastors Pen
I can’t quite let go of John 17. …
There are at least five things that God through Jesus has released (deposited) into the life of every believer:
-
Eternal life is transferred to us, vs.3
-
The full measure of Jesus’ joy is transferred to us, vs. 13
-
The very glory of Jesus is transferred to us, vs. 22
-
The love the Father has for Jesus has been placed in us, vs. 26c
-
The very presence of Jesus lives in us, vs. 26d
When we give our hearts to the Lord – these blessings are deposited into each of our spiritual accounts. It is one thing to know of the promises of God – it is another thing to possess them. These blessings are often in our accounts spiritually, but not in our possession. One of the signs of spiritual growth in our Christian journey is learning how to make withdrawals.
So how do we make spiritual withdrawals?
-
Ask the Lord for the blessing.
-
Walk-in obedience to what God says.
-
Soak the Word into your life.
Hebrews 6:12 says, Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.
I am really excited about a word God is unpacking in my heart for this weekend, entitled, “Why Make It Tough On Yourself?” See you then.
In Case You Missed the Big Announcement
Grace Fellowship has completed the purchase of 5+ acres bordering Main Street/bypass (to the east) and Cemetery Road (to the south). At a point in the future, this beautiful location (campus) will be the new home of Grace Fellowship
Here are some points for prayer and celebration::::
*The property cost was $300,000. God provided the funds to pay cash and so after paying for the land our new building fund balance is $174,319.34.
*On Sunday evening March 27, at 6:30 we will have “Dream Night,” this will be a time to hear from the Lord and each other as to what we sense for the new property.
*A driveway/walking path will be created by Resurrection Sunday, so we can have our first Sunrise Service on the new property on April 17 at 6:17 AM. I am pleased to announce that David and Marrietta Wright have called and want to be a part of the Sunrise Service. Marietta will be doing “Art from the Heart” in both services on the weekend of April 17.
The elevator is operating again!
