Pastor’s Pen

Jesus promised us that there would be trials. In John 16:33 Jesus says, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

James 1:12 says, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”

Many people do not understand what the Bible teaches us about trials, troubles, and tribulations. If you misunderstand how “in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose,” (Romans 8:28) you will miss some of the greatest blessings.

The greatest future you have ever imagined is waiting for you, but it is on the other side of the greatest trial you have ever faced. If you misunderstand the trial, you are going to run away from your future when you only think you are running away from your trial.

Do not run from a blessing even if it is disguised as a trial.

See you this weekend…..we will be teaching an important passage John 17:13-16.
