Pastor’s Pen

I just want to draw your attention to a couple of things. I feel like this is a time we are taking off an old season and taking on a new season.  Certainly, this is true with the weather, but it is also true in our journey with the Lord.

I sense that God is wanting to teach us some new things:

• Partnering with Him in prayer in a deeper and newer way than ever before.
• To avail ourselves to some new spiritual depth that will help us in the days ahead.
• To linger longer in His presence both at home and in church. He wants us to learn to soak up His goodness.

It is not too late to register for Equip. (Why do I have to register? So we can be properly prepared to make this the best time possible for you in the meal and break planning and also making sure each person has the materials they need). We have an amazing opportunity to receive teaching and be equipped not only from Grace Fellowship folks but people God is bringing to us from other places to teach Kingdom principles.

Let me share with you where we are going in the teaching time…

• This week we will be in, one of my favorite and probably yours, Bible stories out of Daniel 6.
• The weekend of October 30-31 I feel the Lord is leading me to teach an important message entitled, “Becoming Aware of the Spirit of Jezebel”
• Then November 5-7 is Equip….get your spiritual fork ready to be fed.
• After Equip we will resume our study in the book of Daniel.

It is such an honor to be a part of Grace Fellowship and to serve as your pastor, I love each of you.

Property Update

Things are still looking very favorable for completing the purchase of the 5.5. acres on Cemetery Road and Main Street/bypass. The present hold-up is tied to waiting on the environmental report on the housing development to the north of Cemetery Creek. We are also waiting on the soil testing results. The City Planning Commission is wanting everything to stand single file in the area of development. The next City Planning Commission meeting is on October 26. We will keep you posted as you continue to pray.

Our current Building Fund balance is $320,335. This is a great time for us to start thinking about the building fund in our giving. You can give online or by marking an offering envelope as Building Fund.

New Office Hours

 The church office is now open Monday –Thursday 8:00-11:30 am

Operation Christmas Child

GF will not be the drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child this year.  For those wishing to participate in OCC Christmas boxes, you may drop your boxes off at Big Horn Baptist.

Jill Thorson will be leading a team/trip over Thanksgiving weekend for those who would like to help pack boxes at the OCC Distribution Center in Denver. For more information contact Jill at 307-217-0801

Missions Opportunity

GF is planning our next missions trip to the Dominican Republic with Casa por Cristo. The trip will be on December 27, 2021 through January 2, 2022 and the cost is $1010 for adults– 12 years old and $220 for children 0-11 years old plus airfare and Covid test. The deadline to sign-up for this mission is October 27.  We still need 10 more people.
